During my recent stay at Scandic Valdres, I was delighted by the culinary offerings at the onsite restaurant, Storstuen. As a marine biologist, I appreciate sustainable seafood options, and Storstuen did not disappoint with its array of local and international cuisine. Accompanied by garden views and al fresco dining, the experience truly encapsulated the essence of Nordic flavors.One particular evening, I opted for the Viking platter, a rich tapestry of smoked salmon, pickled herring, and crispy cod. The fusion of tastes and textures was a delight to my palate, evoking a sense of the region's heritage. The ambiance at Storstuen was inviting and sophisticated, offering a relaxing atmosphere that complemented the culinary journey perfectly. The inclusion of vegan options in the breakfast buffet showcased a commitment to catering to diverse dietary preferences.
